Futuring

Looking ahead into the future, that great unknown, is an integral characteristic of effective leadership. Although as a leader you may not possess a crystal ball to foretell what the future will bring, you can and should be planning for what it may bring. GOD looked far into the future and saw HIS glorious victory over all the forces of evil, those mighty forces that were unleashed as a result of one little forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. Back then GOD unveiled a plan that would unfold thousands of years later on a cross outside of Jerusalem. As the ULTIMATE LEADER, HE made certain that the direction of the history of the human race was headed toward our salvation. Can you say ... Hallelujah? Don't believe ? Genesis 3:15 ~ "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers;" here's the good part ... "HE will crush your head, and you will strike HIS heel." If you read to the end of the BIBLE you will see that JESUS DID IT and we WIN !!! TIME TO MANIFEST

It's manifestation time ! It's a time of freedom for each of us in the body of CHRIST. We can no longer be slaves to the mindsets, situations or circumstances that present themselves in our lives ; we must stand strong on what we know and expect without any hesitations or doubts in what we believe. I heard a pastor say, "Memory is more powerful than life itself, therefore be careful of what you remember or think you remember." Philippians 3:13,14 supports this statement, "Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal ..." I Bliss certainly do not consider myself as having reached perfection. However, this one thing I do:I AM FORGETTING THE THINGS OF THE PAST , AND PRESSING TOWARD THE GOAL TO WIN. (The heavenly prize GOD is calling me to receive through JESUS CHRIST.) Therefore, I say to each of you ...

Elephant Bites ... mmm, yummy

Ok, so this is the next phase of my Leadership Make Over. I am now working on Accountability. I have completed Self-Discipline, Long-Range Planning, and Stewardship. I just finished Stewardship and was reminded that knowledge and people are our truest and greatest assets. Yes, gold, trees, coal and other natural resources are very important. But, when your facing a 13% chance of survival from Breast Cancer like my soul sister Kelly has been ... you want someone to hold your hand not a handful of gold. Or, when you are grieving the loss of both parents within a 4 month period, like my hubby ... you want a hug not a tree. We are our greatest resources.When you are going thru your trials who or what do you turn to ? I look for that little old lady in the back of the church, you know the one 'MaDear' or 'Sis. Lucy' ... she has rough hands from years of domestic work, but a sweet spirit from close, personal contact with the SAVIOR. Every church has at least one. I look for her because I know she can get a prayer thru. She has JESUS on speed dial. Knowledge is also very important. King Solomon is sooo adamant that we get it. Just check out the book of Proverbs. He tell us to"get wisdom", "not forsake wisdom"; "esteem" and "embrace" wisdom. King Solomon is single-minded. Rather than urging us to pursue success and recogition he urges us on this path of wisdom finding in the hopes of finding eternal life, safety and honor.Remember wisdom was what Solomon asked GOD for when GOD asked him what he would like { 1 Kings 3; 2Chron. 1 }. And everything else ( gold,trees, coal etc.) followed. What are some of the things you do to show your love and care to your loved ones ? Are there anythings you want to do ? Is there room for improvement ? Remember that once they are gone they're ... gone. Do you see areas in need of repair or improvement in your life ? They might seem huge or overwhelming right now but, all major tasks can be broken down into smaller ones. One of my favorite sayings is "How do you eat an elephant ... one bite at a time." This journey that I have put myself on is not easy but it's necessary. I have a need dare I say desire to see what my true potential can be when I am operating at 100%. Yay ME !!!

So, this is my fourth week on my Discipline/Accountability Action Plan and I really see positive changes. I started "The Master Cleanse" by Stanley Burroughs two days ago (you know, the one with lemons, maple syrup and cayenne pepper ?), and I have been sticking to it ! YAY me !!! I have tried it before and always fell off by day two. Now that I am a little more disciplined I really feel like I can stick it out. I am going to go for the 10 days that the book suggests. OK, it's evening and I am really tired. I cheated ...UGH ... I felt soo wiped out, so I ate some peas just to give me a slight boost. I didn't indulge like I could have so yay me. I should have just rested and drank some more ' spicey lemon ade'. Oh well, there is always tomorrow if GOD wills. On this cleanse I must remember to listen to my body. listen ... LISten ... Climb Every Mountain

This is the 3rd week of my Discipline/Accountability Action plan. I have been looking deep within to see what I have been doing to slow down and even stop my progress. I have found these two areas in need of some major overhauling. I must say that I am very proud of myself for seeing the need for improvement and climbing that mountain to that beautiful summit. {Pat, pat ... pat } that is me patting myself on my back.

Taking the reigns of your own success is crucial !!! Sometimes the only way to change your life is to improve it and timing is everything. July 13th I went to sleep just like on any other Friday night. I awoke Saturday the 14th with loss of vision in my left eye ... then the nightmare began. I had to "SEE" my way through to the life that I was building before my vision loss and remain "Focused". It has not been easy, many times I have wanted to give up, curl under the covers and not get out, but I couldn't and still can't. GOD didn't wire me or any of us for that way. I have too much to live for, I see it every time I look into my little ones eyes. She deserves the best future that only I can give her. Through this I have found that I do have power. If I can see and go after my future while battling vision loss then with JESUS, I can do it all !!!

For My Hubby Ev ... 2007 Alive and Living Well

Yesterday we laid to rest my Father-In-Law James Washington. He was remembered as a very positive, optimistic, GOD loving man who "Kept the faith". Yes, this is a somber topic but it's real. We all will live and die at some point. It's what we do in the between time ... the dash on the tombstone that really matters. I want the Grim reaper(yes ... I know he is a fictional character) to have to look for me. He will have to send out an APB, and enlist the help of the FBI and CIA to try and find me. I want to run out of time not run out of life. I have a "Things I want to do before I expire" list. I pulled it out, dusted it off and reviewed it last night. There are 139 wonderful things listed on it so far. I have accomplished a few of these things ... 1.) Start my own very succesful business 2.) Start a Sisterhood Group 3.) Inspire my daughter Nina to live her best daily 12.) Have Hip Replacement Surgery {wasn't really a choice} 60.) Become as close as humanly possible to GOD 95.) Start collecting exotic tropical flowering plants. My Great Aunt Iris who will be 97 this Dec. if GOD continues to spare, took her first trip to Egypt at age 60. She got her first facelift (I still don't think she needed it) at 80. My Pastor's wife got married for the first time at age 80. Yeah ... WOW ! So yes ... Live,live ... LIVE !!! What are some of the things you want to accomplish,see and /or do ? Desirous

When desirous of a life change, my friend, or any kind of change,it is wiser to start from a place like: "I am who I am today, where I am today, because this was my choice and it has served me well. However, it no longer serves me, my choices have changed, and I thank ABBA for the amazing changes that are about to sweep through my amazing life." Say that instead of, " I don't know how I got here. I hate my life. I must be sabotaging my own progress. I just can't take it anymore !" Phase 2

This phase of my success journey is all about discipline and accountability. I am a great dreamer and a great planner , but in the areas of discipline and accountability I have been seriously lacking in my person.
