Looking ahead into the future, that great unknown, is an integral characteristic of effective leadership. Although as a leader you may not possess a crystal ball to foretell what the future will bring, you can and should be planning for what it may bring.
GOD looked far into the future and saw HIS glorious victory over all the forces of evil, those mighty forces that were unleashed as a result of one little forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. Back then GOD unveiled a plan that would unfold thousands of years later on a cross outside of Jerusalem. As the ULTIMATE LEADER, HE made certain that the direction of the history of the human race was headed toward our salvation. Can you say ... Hallelujah?
Don't believe ? Genesis 3:15 ~ "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers;" here's the good part ... "HE will crush your head, and you will strike HIS heel." If you read to the end of the BIBLE you will see that JESUS DID IT and we WIN !!!
Take some time to discover the direction to which you and those you lead(in the corporate world or your family) are headed. Where do you see yourself and /or your team in 2008 ? Two years or five years from now ? What about 10 years down the road ?
Verse for this week:
Proverbs 4: 25-27 ~
Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil. N.I.V.
