WOW Look What I Found !!!

Hello Family,
Guess what I discovered ... Books on CD ! Yes, people I have entered the 21st century.
I have always loved to read. Reading transports me to another place and time. It's a source of meditation and relaxation for me. On average, I read about 50 to 75 pages a day, that is a 200 page book every 3 to 4 days which is about right. It increases with the right situation ... a rainy Sunday and Hubby has done all the cooking and cleaning. " Here comes that rainy day feeling again ...", oops, I am digressing - so sorry.
I was at my college campus library trying to familiarize myself to this library when I happened to stumble upon the Books On Cd's Section. I grabbed a few ( Freakonomics, Narnia, & My Life by President Bill Clinton) sat at one of the libraries computers, stuck in the Cd, put on the head phones and immersed myself in this wonderfully new experience. OOO LA LA I checked out "Freakonomics", by Steven B. Levitt and have been thoroughly enjoying it. There are 7 Cd's, each Cd is about an hour long which is great. I can do an hour driving and listening to a book.
This is the greatest inventions since the Walkman. Now if I could just hi-light all the really good parts ...
Until next time,
Be Brilliant,
Be Blessed.
Be Blissful

The Expansion Project

Hey Family,
I know it's been sooo long since I have communicated with you. So much has been going on, let's see:
I got my daughter settled into 5th grade, this is a critical grade, it begins the transition into high school.
I am tackling one of my major goals ~ MBA !!! Now if I can do it ... ANYONE CAN DO IT. I had to rearrange my life, but it's worth it! I am still surviving on 4-6 hours sleep weekdays. I try to make it up on the weekends, so far no luck in that department.
I volunteered my time campaigning ... volunteering is so gratifying. Just knowing that you are giving of yourself to improve someones life, or your community or world gives you a great sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.
I have been working on building my brand "Bliss Full Coaching & Communications", paying attention to the small details is very critical, as a matter of fact ... there is no such thing as a small detail.
I have formed and am now chairing a women's collective called "W.O.W. ~ Women of Worth". It's a fellowship of women who want to live inspired lives, women who want to live on purpose.
And finally, I have really been working on my marriage. Hubby and I are really enjoying each other on all levels ... It feels good to be in love & loved.
All of this has been a wonderful journey of self discovery and self improvement. Lessons are being taught daily in the school of life ... you must forget the world outside for a moment and go inward. Get in tuned with the Creator, embrace the essence of creativity and become the change you want to see in the world.
Until next time ...
Be benevolent
Be beautiful
Be Blissed~

Hey Family

Hello Family, I am truly sorry for not being in touch like I should have been. A lot has been going on since the last time we connected. Yes, my daughter and I went to Jamaica West Indies and had a grand time up until it was time to leave. We got stuck between the two hurricanes and wound up spending over 12 hours in Miami International Airport ... imagine being stuck there with a very energetic 10 year old ?!? My bed never felt soooo good !!! I am back in school going for the MBA. On one hand - Yay me ! But, on the other hand ... AAAAAAGHH !!! For all parents and young people in school/college - GET YOUR EDUCATION NOW !!! Now don't get me wrong, anything is possible with GOD and strong vision, but with a hubby, child, my own business and an already existing business it is hard. All of these are FULL TIME JOBS. I cannot remember the last time I got more than 5 hours of sleep. But, I have a goal and somethings gotta give. Since I am out there in the public everyday I have been hearing about better time management from my peers. I would like to tackle this issue from time to time. I have learned a few tricks now that I am back in school. you know the old adage 'Necessity is the Mother of Invention'. Let's see what we can come up with. I am back and her to stay. I am going to update this Blog because I want it to stay up to date and cutting edge and I really want to take it to a new level. So, I need your feedback. Tell me what you want, wish and need. Blessings of Bliss, Bliss

Go Ladies

Hey Family, I am watching the Women's Relay Swim Finals and ... 52.44 for Dara Torres !!! She swam the anchor leg and pulled her team from 4th place to 2nd. Can you say 'Silver Medal' ? So, what is so special about Dara Torres some of you may be asking ??? She's at the Games without her coach because he's back in the States fighting for his life and she is doin' it at 41 years young. The sense of responsibility and pressure on her shoulders must be so, so, so intense yet she fights on. Dara is just like you and I. Her world revolves around water ... yours maybe your family. She is under the scrutiny of judges ... your boss may be your thorn. Dara is after a gold medal ... you're after turning your dreams into reality. Girl ... kick butt and take names ! This is you moment!! Don't let the lame excuses such as age or gender control your life any more. Launch out into the deep. Challenge yourself to go deeper, work smarter and WIN ! Push past the pain of rejection and/or fear of failure. Feel the fear and do it ANYWAY !!! Blessings, Bliss This was written Sunday nite ... I think. I am going on vacation again ! This time to Beautiful Jamaica !!! So take care, try not to miss me and I will share some Jamaica Sun when I get back !!!

THE FRIEND ~ MY TRIBUTE TO THE EXPERIENCE THAT WAS KELLY L GOLLIDAY

well
i guess it's kind of like
two trees growing on
the same land
side by side
they both have seeds
different but the same
they both have fruit
just different
sometimes if it rains too much
for one the roots soak
up the extra moisture
or if there is too much sun
one shades the other
or sometimes
each just stands alone
it seemed we were like this
and our laughter
kept us from rotting
so that we could stand still
if our fruitfulness seemed
to fall from a distance
these two trees can look similar
but if you come close
you see they are so different
but yet their roots have
grown together over the years
i guess this is how we were
maybe

I'M BAAAAACK !

Hey Family, I have been so very busy with a.) Keeping Nina my delightful daughter busy and focused this summer and b.) My workshop ~ "He Said ... She Said ... But, I Heard - The Art of Active Listening" . I really had a great time at the seminar. There were 32 wonderful people. The interaction was great and I received some wonderful words of encouragement on the surveys that I handed out at the end of the workshop. I have done other workshops in conjunction with other people but, this was my very first one on my own. I believe all the other times I was being groomed by GOD. Delay does not mean denial, remember that. I included pictures !!! So take a look and let me know what you think. Blessings of, Bliss

Day 3 ~ She's Healed !!!

"Try this medicine and see if it works." How many times had the woman with the issue of blood heard this ? She had stopped counting after the 7th year. Seven ... hmmm isn't this number supposed to be very significant to GOD ? The seventh year is supposed to be the year of jubilee. But, her seventh year was more of the same. Prayers that seemed unanswered, stilled being labeled unclean by the priests, and another year without her family. Thoughts of hopelessness enveloped this sweet child. She had heard that JESUS was doing some amazing things for other people. Maybe ? ... No, let's not get our hopes up again. That man from Asia was supposed to be the answer to her problems. Yeah right ... he just stole the last of her money adding more problems.
But this JESUS seemed different. People who met HIM said HE was so gentle and caring, and all the reports confirmed that HE was a healer. BUT, can HE heal me ? The doctors say ___ , but can HE heal me ? The test results confirmed ___ , but can I trust HIM ? So and so had such a rough time that she ___ , but can I believe in HIM ?
GOD answered all of these questions in HIS WORD. GOD is VICTORY !!! Luke 8:40~48 Tells this woman's remarkable story. She dared to believe ... She dared to touch the MASTER ... She was HEALED !!! This same JESUS and all that HE did for everyone in the BIBLE is here for YOU and I today. Just reach out and RECEIVE HIS LOVE TODAY.
My mantra this week has been "GOD's ability is based on my availability." GOD's ability to change things for my good is based on what I give or make available to HIM. What do you need to surrender to your heavenly FATHER ? We have surrendered the cancer of our loved ones to GOD by fasting and praying these past 3 days. We are asking HIS will to be done so that HE will be glorified. We claim all this and more in the Wonderful,Healing, Loving name of our big brother JESUS ~ AMEN.
Thank you everyone who joined with us. May you be blessed beyond your wildest dreams.

Day 2 ~ Beauty is More Than Skin Deep

From the Book ~ "Praying Through Cancer"
Some days I don't like to look into the mirror. My once smooth skin shows the scars of eight different breast surgeries. My hair must be colored back to its original auburn hue and chemically treated to combat the post-chemo frizziness. Some days I feel far from a natural beauty ! Fortunately, GOD sees beyond the war wounds of cancer. HE looks at my heart. When HE sees me surrender myself to HIM and begin to love HIS WORD, I am the prettiest girl in the room ! { Do you hear this Kelly, Carol, Geneva and any other dolls going thru cancers beauty regiment ?}
It is interesting to consider that JESUS did not come to this earth as a handsome or wealthy man to attract people. Instead, HE humbled HIMSELF to die on a cross and remove our sin so that we could be made gorgeous women-flaws and all-in GOD's sight. HIS wounds on the cross ( they weren't pretty!) made us right and beautiful before GOD.
LORD, thank you for being willing to be physically scarred so that I could be beautiful before the KING of the UNIVERSE ! Help me to focus not on what cancer is doing to my physical body, but how YOU are making and molding the inside of me. I thank YOU for this opportunity to shine because of YOUR perfect work in me, a work far more important and lasting than my physical appearance. I praise YOU for the promise that those who look to YOU are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. Fill me to overflowing with YOUR radiance and light !
~ Laura Geist
TODAY'S TIP: As you look in the mirror at what cancer has left behind, be thankful to the LORD for exchanging HIS scars for YOUR beauty.

Day 1 ~ Quiet Whispers

Elijah of the Old Testament was a mere human being like you and I, one who was privileged to see great manifestations of the power of Almighty GOD. Therefore, Elijah expected to see GOD in something bigger than himself when he was told to wait for the presence of the LORD to pass by. HE wouldn't have been surprised to encounter GOD in a powerful wind, a huge earthquake, or a roaring fire. But a gentle whisper ? Yes, that's exactly how GOD came to Elijah - in a gentle whisper.
Let us minister to our family members who are battling cancer at this time{ Carol Johnson, Aunti Geneva, Kelly Golliday etc. } in a gentle whisper from GOD full of tender love and care. Prayers, Instrumental music and whispers of love help usher us into HIS presence.
OUR PRAYER ~
"LORD JESUS, open our spiritual ears to 'hear' Your gentle whispers of comfort, peace, and assurance. Even though our family members are enduring a tremendous tornado in their lives, I know YOU desire that they simply be still and know that YOU are GOD. Thank YOU for YOUR promises to sustain us on our sickbeds and restore us from our beds of illness. YOU are faithful ! I am so very grateful for YOU being patient with me. If I listen with my heart, I can receive grace amazingly given in just the right portion for my present need. FATHER GOD, it is indeed a delight to trust in YOU."
TODAY'S TIP : Listen to the whisper of GOD in music that adores and magnifies HIM.

Fortitudine Vincimus

For Aunti Carol , Aunt Geneva, Kelly G. and anyone else battling cancer:
We want to encourage you as you are on this journey. When you heard the doctor say the word "cancer", the fears were overwhelming. In a single moment, everything changed. You may have been numb at first or shocked and bewildered. How could this happen? Fearful thoughts crashed down like torrential rain. "How can I deal with the inconvenience, the pain ... the unknowns ?
Thankfully, there is a place of sweet peace and quiet assurance that is in the FATHER's bosom that we want you to experience even more of. We desire to join you in this challenging time ... to pray and fast through cancer with you and to walk with you through it. Our greatest desire is that you will receive all ABBA's blessings now and in the month's ahead as you cast all your cares on HIM.
The GOD of the universe wants you to "Cast all your anxiety on HIM because HE cares for you" ( 1 Peter 5:7). The Greek word translated "cast" in this verse indicates the idea of throwing upon. Sometimes we can't gently give GOD our requests; we need to throw them at HIM ! Honestly, we've been there, especially in great pain and disappointment. Thankfully, our LORD wants us to come and cast our cares on HIM.
For those of us who are fasting and praying ... THANK YOU !!! GOD sees and knows and you will be blessed above and beyond what you can imagine. For the next few days search your hearts for any doubts or fears you may have and anything that may be hampering a deeper relationship with GOD. Like the father in Mark chapter 9, cast/throw any unbelief's or hindrances you may have on JESUS ... HE knows just what to do with them ! TRUST ME !!!
Elta, thank you so very much for putting the prayer and fast request in the church bulletin !!! I know I haven't thanked you properly for that wonderful gesture. I have gotten so much positive feedback for this venture. If there are any other names to be added to the list, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Follow your Bliss,
COACH BLISS
PS ~ Fortitudine vincimus ... Latin for " ... By endurance, we conquer." Thank you Delmas !
PPS ~ Has everyone decided as to how they are going to fast ? I have decided to do the Master Cleanse. You know that lemon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper fast ? I will also be fasting from TV. Let me know what your doing.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY ROLLED INTO ONE DAY mAYBE THURSDAY TOO.

Hey Family,
i know that yesterday i was supposed to post Tuesday~ Time Saving Tips. i had a mammogram and ultrasound appointment. Back in November i found a lump in my left breast but was too scared to go take care of it. After seeing all that my great friend Kelly Golliday is going thru with her breast cancer battle. i decided to take care of this matter. Kelly has truly been a warrior & an inspiration to all of us that know and love her. Just seeing how she has depended upon GOD has increased my faith. You can follow her journey at www.myspace.com/kgolliday . And please keep her in prayer.
So, i got my boobies squished and mushed and photographed. It wasn't bad just a little discomfort. But what is discomfort compared to living a long prosperous life ?
So my Time Saving Tips and What in the World article for today is ...
Take care of yourself. Make your health a top priority so you can be around to enjoy all that life has to offer you. Life is too precious to live in fear or not to live to the fullest. Make peace while it's still possible.
Finally, NEVER GIVE UP !
Blessings of,
BLISS
PS ~ i might not post tomorrow until late. i must go to NY to fight a traffic ticket i unjustly received. i'll explain afterward just incase the judge happens to be a subscriber. LOL ... No really.

MONDAY MOTIVATION ~ Sharing Some birthday Love

Hello Family, I hope your weekend was a great one. I want to share a beautiful Birthday card that I received from my Mommi :
HOW TO MAKE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE
Love yourself.
MAKE PEACE with who you are
and where you are
at this moment in time.
Listen to your heart.
If you can't hear what it is saying
in this noisy world,
MAKE TIME for yourself.
Enjoy your own company.
Let your mind wander among the stars.
TRY.
Take chances.
MAKE MISTAKES.
Life can be messy
and confusing at times,
but it's also full of surprises.
The next rock in your path
might be a stepping-stone.
Be happy.
When you don't have what you want,
want what you have.
MAKE DO.
That's a well-kept secret of contentment.
There aren't any shortcuts to tomorrow.
you have to MAKE YOUR OWN WAY.
To know where you're going
is only part of it.
You need to know where you've been, too.
And if you ever get lost, don't worry.
The people who love you will find you.
COUNT ON IT.
Life isn't days and years.
It's what you do with time
and with all the goodness and grace
that's inside you.
MAKE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE ...
The kind of life you deserve.
Thanx Mommi ! I love you much !

TUESDAY TESTIMONIAL ~ YES, i AM MY BROTHER'S KEEPER

Hi Family, i hope all is well. As for me ... well i am a little bit shaken up. Last night the hubby and i watched "The Kite Runner". The cinematography was outstanding. It was amazing to see the Afghanistan people and life before the Russian invasion. Oh, the trees (no, i am not a tree hugger) ... just watch the movie and you will understand. Hassan is so innocent, beautiful and so very loyal, maybe to a fault I thought. But, after chasing this movie around in my head all night, I have come to the conclusion that i am the one at fault. i mean as Christians aren't we taught/told to love our brothers and to turn the other cheek with you enemies ... actually we as Christians should not have any enemies. But we fight our brothers, kill them with our words, laugh at them behind their backs thinking no one hears or sees us but SOMEONE does. We are the enemies.
I recently overheard someone whom my mother took for a close friend talking, no mocking her behind her back with another person. After this person and her friend walked past me, I hurried to the room that my mother was in only to find my mother with tears in her eyes and pain in her heart. She too heard every single word. We prayed; if i can be very honest with you our prayers were very different - i inwardly prayed for fire and brimstone to rain down from heaven as it did in old BIBLE times. Mommi outwardly and inwardly prayed for peace and forgiveness. GOD granted this to Mommi. i think we all can learn from Hassan and Mommi the meaning of having a true servants heart and genuine love for your fellow man/woman. JESUS came to teach us these things, learn them while there is still time.
    BLISS.

    Delicious Ambiguity

Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity ...

    MONDAY MOTIVATION FOR 5/12/08

First and foremost I would like to offer all of the Mother's out there a very blessed Mother's Day again. Mother is a title that is not for wimps/faint of heart. I especially want to acknowledge all of the single Mother's who are doing their part to raise well rounded CHRIST centered children. You amaze me, I truly admire you ! I am married with one child and sometimes find it difficult. I remember when I just had my beloved Nina. As I was in the hospital packing to go home after spending 6 days there, I began to sob uncontrollably at the thought of taking full responsiblilty for this little person. I was OK as long as I was in the hospital where I had nurses and doctors and all kinds of staff to help me, sooth me and answer any questions I may have. But once I left to comfy confines of the hospital ... ALL THE RESPONSIBILITY FELL ON ME ! ME ! ME !!! Yes, my hubby was there and he was wonderful and I had a GREAT support system(still do !) ... Mommi moved in with us, my other mother June was there EVERYDAY without fail, and my sister was the best. But I still felt all alone. I lost it again when my Daddy came. He came with bags and bags of stuff. Daddy was away on business so he rushed back and went thru Wal-Mart like a tornado picking up everything from booties to wipes. So as we are organizing the cases of diapers and wipes, I see regular wipes, hypo-allergenic wipes and fragrance-free wipes. Oh, the choices ! I can't even decide which wipe to use yet alone raise a child !!!! HELP !
Nina is 9 now and fine. Needless to say ... We survived. You will face all kinds of challenges as long as you live. Some known and some unknown. Just remember that as a person you count and as a mother someone is counting on you ! Be Blessed ~ BLISS

    It's in the gene's

    Hey family,
I am doing a ninety day spiritual, physical and mental project with my women's mastermind group. One of the spiritual renewal exercises is to memorize scripture. I have been trying from Tuesday of this week to memorize I Thess. 5:23,24 with no luck. It's just four little lines ... yes 4 little lines that had become a real challenge to me. I was lamenting to my 9 year old diva/muse as to how much of a hard time I was having. She cooly responds "Mommie just repeat after me".She said one verse and I repeat it and so forth and so on . We did her method about four times and do you know what ?
I GOT IT !!!! ... I really got it ! I just gushed all over her. Her response ??? " Oh noooo, now I'm a Life Coach too. It must run in the family. "
I have never been prouder to call myself a Life Coach !!!

    Fact versus Fiction

    Hey Family ,
I am back from a great break ! I am going thru some personal & health matters right now, so I really needed this break.
Fortunately (unfortunately ?), it wasn't a break from reality. I had to do some self talk sort out the facts from the fiction.
    The FACTS are :
    1. Life is what you make it. Look we all have been dealt some hands in life that we ALL would like to throw in or throw out the person who dealt them to us i.e. ~ alcoholism, drugs, racism, death of a loved one, sexual abuse ... unfortunately this horrible list goes on. We ALL have raw spots in our lives. These things build our character. As a child said to his Mommie who had to go back to work after divorcing her bank robbing husband (no she didn't know about it ) "Mommie it's OK. This just shows what a tough girl you are."
    2. There will always be good days & bad days. Let's face facts if every day was a 'Good Day' we would take things for granted. Before you say anything think about it ... Just think about it. We are creatures who get bored easily ... ever hear of 'Adrenalin Junkies' ? Ask yourself ... "Am I a secret adrenalin junkie ? ... Do I secretly like to hear my friends drama? Do I create my own drama ?
    3. Whatever doesn't kill you strengthens you. For whatever Nietzsche believed ... this statement of his holds true. Some times you do want to lace up the Nike's and rush through the tough spots in life ... but, we cannot. These are times when we need to check our pulse, take another look at our life map and don't rush through it ... as much as we all want these times to fly by fast ... DON"T RUSH . You want to make the right choice - to get the right solution - so you can learn the lesson life is trying to teach you - so you won't have to repeat it.

    FICTION is :

    1. Hide
    2. Avoid the issue, it's really not there.
    3. Ignore it and it will go away
    4. Don't mention it, no one needs to know

Truth is ... life is like a roller coaster, we all have to ride the ups and downs. Just know you are not alone. There are people that care and want to share with you. It's so important to have a support system in place. Friends/Family who really want to be there for you. There are people you can call (Support Lines ~ check your phone book); Counsellors;Coaches (Hello somebody ! 610-482-4398); clergy; online chat rooms & support groups.

Just know that it is going to be OK !

    Bliss

" Hope is vital as we look forward to our restoration. If GOD answered all our prayers and gave us everything we asked for, we would not long for anything better. If we had everything, there would be nothing to look forward to. But if we hope for what we don't have, then hope helps us persevere. In this sense, hope strengthens our faith in GOD and our belief in HIS promise. Romans 8:24,25

    Slow down to Speed Up

    Hi Family,
How many of you are being bombarded with get rich schemes ? It's ok to raise your hand we're all family here. Well, I must be the poster child for " Let's make her an offer she won't refuse society". Everyday I am either called, snail mailed or e-mailed ALL sorts of offers. ~ "Sell bug juice on the Internet and earn $70,000 a day just like I did !" or my favorite "Learn my proven secrets to earning $20,000 a day just by mailing envelopes to these 7 people ... " My question is 'why those 7 people ?'. Why can't I save time, stuff the 7 envelopes into 1 (thereby saving postage), mail them to myself and then collect the $20,000 ?! Sounds good to me.
Look, whatever business opportunity you are looking into just remember these three things ...
    1. Only in the dictionary will you find 'success' before 'work' ...
    2. Read ... READ ... READ everything ! W.C. Field said "There is a sucker born every minute." Bliss says "Please read the fine print, especially that part that says these results are not typical yada yada yada " ...
    3. Sleep on it. In the book "The Millionaire Mind" ... the authors say that most millionaires when presented with a business opportunity look very carefully before they leap. Especially when dealing with someone they don't know. I know some scams ,oops opportunities want you to act now. But honey this is your money. There is this bogus saying that " Leaders act right away". It really should say "Losers act right away ". I am not calling anyone a loser. I admit I have been duped along with the best of you . I am talking about the loss of our hard earn money. Money that we could be using right now to develop our our Pay-To-Play Programs ... hmmm I'm having an 'Aha' moment, where's Oprah when I need her ? I will even take Gail at this point.

My mind is going a mile a minute with ideas ! I Gotta Go write them down. I'll holla later !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Blessings from BLISS !

Do You as Only You Can

Hey world, How has everyone been? WOW ... Spring will be here in a matter of hours. Do you have your spring cleaning To-Do List out with red marker in hand to check off the completed tasks like, "Vacuum up dust bunnies that have hibernated and multiplied under the bed all winter", or "Clean green moldy thingy that has sprouted legs in veggie bin of fridge" ? Is there any "Do Me" on that list of yours? Sooo many times we esp. we women have everyone else's needs on our minds and in our hearts except our own. Yes, we are care givers and nurturers by nature, but why do we find it so hard to give ourselves some much needed TLC ? In order to fully give to others we need to give ourselves full permission to love ourselves freely and without the guilt trip that we should reserve for our children and forgetful hubby's. Can you give yourself permission ... maybe? ... no? ... Well then I will give it to you ... I, COACH BLISS, being of sound mind ( ?) GIVE YOU HELEN HOMEMAKER & ELLA THE ENTREPRENEUR AND YES YOU, BETTY BUSINESS WOMAN FULL AND COMPLETE PERMISSION TO PUT "YOU" FIRST ON YOUR PERSONAL TO DO LIST. BY ALL THE POWER INVESTED IN ME HERE IN THE STATE OF PA. Any violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law . So watch it. Don't know where to begin with all this new found power ? May I make a suggestion ? Make a personal to do list ... List all the things you would do if you new you would not fail.
    1. Write children's book
    2. Throw a girls only getaway with your best gal pals
    3. Return to school for that degree
    4. Start that career
    5. etc.

These are just some examples to get the creative juices flowing. Cut out some me time in your schedule ... Find a quiet place ... Grab some of that special herbal tea you have been saving for a special occasion (like now !) ... Pray ... Get a notebook & pen and release those creative dreams that you have had bottled up for various reasons. Now, don't worry about why or how long they have been bottled up, that is not the purpose for this exercise. I want you to dream ... Dream ... DREAM BIG & IN LIVING COLOR ! Sweep out the mental dust bunnies along with the doubts that have blocked your progress. Endless ideas have been deposited in you by the MASTER CREATOR HIMSELF and only you can bring them to fruition.

Let me let you in on a secret ... Time is going to pass by anyway. Whether you live you dreams or not. So why not live the rest of your life on your terms and by your rules ?!!! OK ?!

~ Homework Assignment ~ Set up three to do lists ... 1. Short term goals (goals that can be completed in 3 months or less) 2. Mid term goals (goals to be completed within a year to two years) and 3. Long term goals (goals that are just as important but may take longer than two years to complete).

Share some of your goals with us ... just have fun doing it.

Love your family everyday like you will never see them again ...

Plant seeds of love and watch them grow ...

And let GOD do the rest.

    Blessings of BLISS

    SUCESS ~ PART 3

SATURATION IN GOD'S WORD We make mistakes when we don't read The Instruction Manual ~ I am talking about the BIBLE. That same principle holds true when it comes to our Christian walk. Many of our OOP's could have been avoided if we had immersed ourselves (mind, body and spirit) in to GOD's WORD. When we try to live without consulting GOD's WORD, it's a deliberate, voluntary ignorance. OUCH !!! But that ignorance will not stop us from suffering the consequences of being stupid. The wisdom we need is available. It's not just about reading HIS WORD; it's about meditating on it and letting GOD's WORD do IT's part in and for our success. GOD's formula for success works, but there are no shortcuts or hooks. True success requires us to be strong, diligent and courageous. IT calls us to be obedient to ALL of HIS commands. IT calls us to delve deeply into the BIBLE and let it saturate our souls. You are a JOSHUA ! You are meant for greatness. Have faith. GOD will bring it to pass. Surviving A Dry Spell

A dry spell is a period of time when progress seems as if it's coming to a grinding halt. If you're trying to lose weight, for example, it may be that, despite your best efforts, the scale just won't budge.( Can I get an AMEN ? ) Or, if you're trying to find a new job, the phone might stop ringing and it may suddenly feel as though no one is hiring in your field.(Any witnesses out there ?) During this period, you're likely to feel frustrated and discouraged. And, as a result, it's common to do one of two things -- try harder (to no avail), or give up. This is also the time when self-doubt rears its ugly head. During a dry spell, you'll probably begin to question yourself and your goals. For example, if you're involved in a job search, you might start second-guessing your credentials, doubting your skills, or questioning your direction altogether. Or, if you're trying to lose weight, you may lose your motivation and go back to the erroneous belief that your stalled progress is related to a lack of discipline. The biggest challenge during a dry spell is to be patient -- to sit back, take a deep breath, say a prayer of faith and know that despite what appears to be "the end of the road," over the horizon is a path that will lead where you most need to go. Whenever we decide to make a major change in our lives, it's important to know that along with taking new actions, we also may need to let go of some things in order to welcome in new experiences. Joseph Campbell said it well:"We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. The old skin has to be shed before the new one can come."While it's certainly true that a period of stagnancy or inertia sometimes means that we just need to have faith that we're on the right track, other times, it may mean something more. It may be that you need to loosen your grip and let go of something -- an old habit, an out dated belief, or a strategy that doesn't serve you anymore. Sometimes this letting go is more tangible like ending an unsupportive relationship to set the stage for becoming the "new you." And other times it might be that you need to let go of an unrealistic expectation. I remember one friend who realized this when she reached a weight loss plateau and had to give up the fantasy that her body would ever look like something out of a fashion magazine. Only then could she continue without sabotaging her success. The moral of this story is: Don't lose hope! A dry spell may be exactly what you need to re-evaluate your progress so you can redirect the course of your life. To help you use a dry spell as a catalyst for success, answer the following question: What do I need to let go of in order to welcome in the new life I desire? Then, pay attention to what immediately comes to mind. Listen with your heart (not your head) and write down the answers regardless of how strange or unexpected they may be. Once you do, sit with this information for awhile before taking action ... call me to get clear unbiased support. Then, proceed with a patient heart. When you understand that dry spells are merely speed bumps on the road to a great life, you'll begin to see them as gifts -- a reminder to slow down so you can get your bearings, reevaluate your plans, and slowly shed the old you to make way for the new! ~*~ Take Action Challenge ~*~Living through a dry spell requires faith and support ... Call me Coach Bliss for a faith boost and accountability support. The first sessions is a Get To Know You Session & it's FREE !!! An $85.00 value. CALL NOW !!! 610.482.4398.

    Success ~ Part 2

OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S COMMANDS Notice how the LORD delivers this to Joshua: " Be careful to obey ALL the law ... " It would be convenient if we could pick and choose which of GOD's principles and laws we could follow and which we found to be too demanding and too harsh. The law that Joshua was given was very detailed, and GOD expected him to learn it, meditate on it, and apply it. We are not under the same law today, but we live by the same principles. JESUS said that there are two commands that are most important: Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. Paul called love the fulfillment of the law; James called it THE ROYAL LAW. Whatever you call it, GOD's formula for success wouldn't be complete without it. Be Blessed & Successful, BLISS Stay tuned for part three. Please let me know what you think.

    Success ~ Part 1

Every person wants to be successful. We often measure our worth on how successful we are. How we measure that success is often based on a wordly standard rather than a GODLY standard. Success by the world's standard often means luxury, wealth and possessions, achievements, fame, beauty and brawn. If we measure our lives by the world's standards, we will have an inaccurate and incomplete view of whether or not we're successful. GOD'S standard of success is nothing like the world's standard. GOD'S formula for success works for every person in every situation, whether at school, at work, with our families, or in our churches. The pathway to success cannot be traveled by anyone who does not practice GOD'S formula for success. These principles are found in Joshua 1:6-9. 1. BE STROND AND COURAGEOUS (VERSES 6,7,9) HOMEWORK ~ Get your Bible and read Joshua 1:6-9 and ask yourself : A. What is courage ? And when was the last time I was courageous ? B. Notice the number of times GOD brings this command before Joshua. More tomorrow

    ** Worth Sharing **

    Thank you Aunt G...
HANDBAGS... Have you ever noticed gals who sit their handbags on public toilet floors, then go directly to their dining tables and set it on the table? Happens a lot! It's not always the 'restaurant food' that causes stomach distress. Sometimes "what you don't know will hurt you"! Read on... Mom got so upset when guests came in the door and plopped their handbags down on the counter where she was cooking or setting up food. She always said that handbags are really dirty, because of where they have been. It's something just about every woman carries with them. While we may know what's inside our handbags, do you have any idea what's on the outside? Women carry handbags everywhere; from the office to public toilets to the floor of the car. Most women won't be caught without their handbags, but did you ever stop to think about where your handbag goes during the day. "I drive a school bus, so my handbag has been on the floor of the bus a lot," says one woman. "On the floor of my car, and in toilets." "I put my handbag in grocery shopping carts and on the floor of the toilet," says another woman "and of course in my home which should be clean." We decided to find out if handbags harbor a lot of bacteria. We learned how to test them at Nelson Laboratories in Salt Lake, and then we set out to test the average woman's handbag. Most women told us they didn't stop to think about what was on the bottom of their handbag. Most said at home they usually set their handbags on top of kitchen tables and counters where food is prepared. Most of the ladies we talked to told us they wouldn't be surprised if their handbags were at least a little bit dirty. It turns out handbags are so surprisingly dirty, even the microbiologist who tested them was shocked. Microbiologist Amy Karen of Nelson Labs says nearly all of the handbags tested were not only high in bacteria, but high in harmful kinds of bacteria. Pseudomonas can cause eye infections, staphylococcus aurous can cause serious skin infections, and salmonella and e-coli found on the handbags could make people very sick. In one sampling, four of five handbags tested positive for salmonella, and that's not the worst of it. "There is fecal contamination on the handbags" says Amy. Leather or vinyl handbags tended to be cleaner than cloth handbags, and lifestyle seemed to play a role. People with kids tended to have dirtier handbags than those without, with one exception. The handbag of one single woman who frequented nightclubs had one of the worst contaminations of all. "Some type of feces, or possibly vomit" says Amy. So the moral of this story is that your handbag won't kill you, but it does have the potential to make you very sick if you keep it on places where you eat. Please use hooks to hang your handbag at home and in toilets, and don't put it on your desk, a restaurant table, or on your kitchen counter top. Experts say you should think of your handbag the same way you would a pair of shoes. "If you think about putting a pair of shoes onto your counter tops, that's the same thing you're doing when you put your handbag on the counter tops" - Your handbag has gone where individuals before you have sneezed, coughed, spat, urinated, emptied bowels, etc! Do you really want to bring that home with you? The microbiologists at Nelson also said cleaning a handbag will help. Wash cloth handbags and use leather cleaner to clean the bottom of leather handbags. THIS IS WORTH SHARING!!!
~ FYI ... Ladies, they now have handbag hooks. You can use them to hang your handbag off of a table when you're at a restaurant instead of putting it on the floor. Lady Chanel would roll over in her grave if she knew you were treating her handbag like a common handbag !
