Rock the Boat

I am sitting here watching my favorite show "The Big Idea" on CNBC. I was listening to Don King (Boxing Promoter ~ the hair remember ?!) and Cason Kressley(Queer Eye For the Straight Guy) and found out that they have alot in common. Now what does a gay, conservatively raised, white guy and a black kid from the ghetto ~ projects actually, have in common you may ask. Well, the answer is they both know how to rock the boat. They are both very flamboyant and they both took their opportunities to shine and stand to out from the crowd and they have not let it go ! They rock the boat !!! Find your passion in life and go for it ! Don't worry that someone else is doing what you do ... they cannot do it the way that you can do it. They don't have your style, flair or Savoir Faire(Spell check someone) !!! Have you checked out the Parfum counters lately ? They are loaded with all sorts of goodies (yes. parfumes are my fetish ! Can you say toilet water ?) Anyway, there is always room on my dresser for one more. Take a moment and look in your closet ... go ahead, I'll wait ... how many different pair of jeans did you find or how many pairs of black shoes did you stumble over? See what I mean ? Now here's the secret ... you must work ! Success come before work only in the dictionary or in the case of Brittany Spears ~ ouchy, sorry I couldn't resist. Work smart not hard. Find what you love to do ~ your passion and learn EVERYTHING that there is to learn about your area of interest. Read books, trade magazines, etc. Visit your local library. Go to Amazon.com .Talk to those in your field of interest. Hire a Life Coach (Some one called for me ?) Join a Mastermind Group( Hello again !) Just stay connected and learn all that you can and add your signature to it. Own it ! Lastly, stay away from those negative people, you know who they are. You hear them complaining long before you see them. Avoid them like the plague. They are a plague. Their negatives stick to you if you stay around them long enough and then you begin to think then sound like them ... RUN FOR YOU LIFE ! Because your life and happiness really is at stake !
